Tina Modotti was a young photographer, famous for her relationship with Edward Weston, and for her revolutionary thinking. Modotti was an Italian immigrant who began working as a model in America in the late 1910’s, but her interest was also being an actress. She immigrated to Mexico where she lived with Edward Weston even if he was still married in America. Mexico was the final path of the couple, they split up there and Weston never came back. Back then, Modotti was an influential photographer who was friends with politicians, and artists such as Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. In 1942, she died in a taxi cab because of heart failures.
